I humbly apologize to Louis XIV, who is rolling over in his grave.
This is what happens when I decide to start a sewing project at 11:30 PM, after having eaten way too many gummy bears. It's made from a pile of different brocades, pieces of trim, and a bit of swirly green flannel, all left over from various other projects (in pieces too small to make something normal from).
It seems to have offended Oscar (my sewing machine), as he's only just started working again recently, and I was left to sew most of it by hand.
It is, as the photos show, fully reversible.
I plan to add more obnoxious things to the sleeves, just above the ruffle, but have yet to find bells that I'm happy with, and have to scare up more of the blue brocade used on the ties.
Also, for the record, I do plan to wear this in public.
Original design (would anyone else claim it?), 2009.
Thanks! I'm sorry for the not-so-great photo. I plan to drag everything (clothing and costume wise) outside come springtime to take some better ones. It's all either blurry (no flash, like this one), or completely washed out (with flash, like a bunch of the others) :/ .

This newsletter was "born" back in March 2007, from a conversation between ~Lareth and =FrozenStarRo, who with the help of their friends *Iardacil and =Sylwiaa , wanted to make something to promote known and unknown photomanipulators alike here on DeviantArt. As of September 2009 =ImaginaryRosse joined the project and will be helping us out with the weekly choices. While things have changed over time, the essence of the newsletter is still the same. As of recent, the talented =Behana has joined us in bringing you this weekly newsletter and we are excited to have her on board. This is a special feature, with a selection of 50 manips from the past year that we loved.
Although `DEVlANT joined our community only a year ago, he's made sure to make his mark in as many ways as possible. His inquisitive mind and enthusiastic personality is reflected in every part of the community which he reaches out to. Always eager to bring suggestions and feedback to us in a positive way, `DEVlANT shows a maturity way beyond his years. It's with great pleasure that we award very first Deviousness of 2010 t...
