Here's another part of the costume. I'm uploading things as I go.
All told, this one piece has taken me in the ballpark of 25 hours. I really hate brass wire right now, let me tell you. It's based off of a combination of early Celtic and Anglo-Saxon jewelry. Most of the glass beads used were made in a manner that they differ very little in appearance from beads made in ancient times. I warned you guys that I was having too much fun with this! It's also being photographed over the undergown for the costume itself. All I have left to go is the gown itself, and possibly a veil or something. Dork, dork, dork... Because geekdom is a crown to wear with pride, after all.
